d is for delightful!

arctic monkeys' FAVOURITE WORST NIGHTMARE
at first listen you will be quite weirded out by these lads, but keep listening, you'll find your beloveds cloaked with new music flavorings. when i hear certain songs, the image in my head is always about cowboys and saloons and duels. ahahaha. but they are very good indeed.
favorites: teddy picker, d is for dangerous, old yellow bricks, 505

the academy is...'s SANTI
i haven't heard this album fully but the tunes didn't stick and i hate it. i like almost here better. maybe my opinion will change if i start to listen more carefully and intently and more often.
favorites: eveything we had

this providence's THIS PROVIDENCE
unexpectedly great. whoa breath-taking. hahaha. i love it. and i love the vocalist (dan young) and the bassist (david blaise). ahaha they're gorgeous. their music is very forgive durden-ish with a tinge of the academy is. suits fueled by ramen very well.
favorites: wolf in sheep's clothing, my beautiful rescue, but what will they say, losing control

i realized that the newer additions to the fbr family is like combinations of some older bands.
the cab: newest member (hello!). a mix of panic of the disco's las vegas taste and october fall's pianos. but october fall dominates.

books!

edith pattou's FIRE ARROW: THE SECOND SONG OF EIRREN
i stumbled across this book when my money was running thin and i want to buy a book, so i scoured the discount shelf at
kinokuniya. how grateful was I to see a book containing the word 'arrow' in its title. and was even happier to see the 30%
savings sticker on the cover. i read the summary on the back cover, and deciding to buy it. my friend sabrina saw the font
and fell in love. sorry dude, mine first. i promised to lend her after i finished. so i read it and was hooked. the story is
about a girl archer, breo-saight, that discovers that she has a magical fire arrow as her birthright. this book is full with
action and the fantasy plot i just LOVE, and a little concealed romance that i thought is VERY cute and made me go 'awww~!!'
FIVE STARS.
published in 1998 so i guess it would be quite hard to track down the first book and the third but i really want to lay my

hands on them.

the autobiography of my dead brother
i forgot who wrote it
nice book, about black people. i didn't know it was so... cruel. great illustrations though.

oh i simply love this book. crazy ending. great story and storytelling. better than the really good first book, SEEKER. still about seeker, morning star, and the wildman, but this book's story is very, VERY unpredictable. very good, excellent. BUY!!
